At Franklyns we have a number of crystal clear lakes available to fish on.

We offer an annual season ticket rod but we do welcome day tickets for groups by appointment only.

The main lake, Phil’s Folly, which is approximately three acres in size, is stocked with rainbow and brown trout ranging in sizes upwards of 2lbs. The lake has a good flow of water through it with more water leaving the lake than going in due to the natural springs arising in the lake.

 

Poacher’s Pond is a smaller lake, stocked with smaller sized rainbow and brown trout. This lake benefits from all the farm water flowing through it and is almost riverine.

There are also a number of other areas where you can cast a fly.

Season ticket holders can do catch and release and are entitled to bring four guests per year without extra charge.

As a season ticket rod, you can fish at any time of the year.

You may also get the opportunity to watch the professionals fish – the kingfishers!
